The dashing guys of SF9 have returned to the K-Pop scene after a long awaited two whole months with their second mini album, “Breaking Sensation.” To promote the release of their album, the 9-member group gathered for a showcase to answer media queries, including what their thoughts are on the trainee survival show, Produce 101 Season 2.
As a group who competed in their own idol survival competition show, it’s understandable that people would be interested in the boy’s take on the new season and the possibility of a new rival.
Lead vocalist, Dawon revealed that he is enjoying the new season, even more so that fellow trainees from his company are actively competing in season 2. Dawon also commented on the fact that season 2 not only includes rookies, but also some of his seniors in the industry, amicably stating that, “everyone must walk their own path.”
Rowoon, on the other hand, took into account the potential of a new idol rival, saying that “it’s not something we can ignore. We’ll eventually be competing with the team that emerges.” Even with such thoughts, Rowoon also notes that watching the participants compete is inspiring to him.
